Privacy

We collect as little as possible, because a preparedness tool does not need to know who you are.

What we collect

  • Your province, and optionally your district. Never a precise address or GPS location.
  • How many people are in your household, as counts by group — adults, children, elderly, anyone with mobility limitations, anyone who depends on medication or equipment.
  • Pets, by type and number.
  • What emergency supplies you already have.
  • Your budget and how many days you want to prepare for.
  • A short record of your readiness score — one reading a day, kept for up to a month — so we can show you how it has changed since your last visit. It never leaves this device, and it holds no answers, only the number.

What we never ask for

  • Your name.
  • Your national ID or passport number.
  • Your exact address or GPS location.
  • Your phone number or email, unless you choose to have your plan emailed to you.
  • Any description of a medical condition or medication. We store counts only, because a count is all the plan needs.

Why we ask

Each answer changes the plan. Household counts set the quantities. Your province decides which hazards are relevant. What you already own is subtracted from the recommendations. Your budget decides what fits first.

No account

There is no sign-up and no password. Your plan is stored in this browser, on this device only — it is never sent to our servers. Open the site on another device and you will not see it, so if you want the rest of your household to see it, look at it together on this one.

Deleting your plan

You can delete your plan at any time from the plan page, and everything is removed from this device immediately. Clearing your browser data removes it too.

When you ask a question

Everything described above stays on your device — except in one case. If you ask the planner a question, or tap "Why this much?", the figures and assumptions from your plan are sent to our AI provider so they can be explained back to you. That means things like "6 people, 3 days, 60 litres". What is never sent: your household plan — where you meet, who does what, who to call — your district, and anything else you typed in your own words. Nothing is sent unless you ask, and nothing is stored there by us.

Links to shops

Where we have one, an item in your plan may carry a link to a shop, and we may earn a commission if you buy through it. Following that link takes you to another company's website, which will see the visit and apply its own tracking and privacy policy — we have no control over that, and nothing about your household travels with you. Your plan is worked out before any link is attached, so a commission cannot change what is recommended to you or the order it appears in.

Analytics

We count anonymous events — a questionnaire started, a plan generated — to understand whether the product is useful. These carry no personal information, no IP address and no identifier that could be traced back to you. The events are a fixed published list, the values attached to them are coarse on purpose (a budget bracket, a language, a completion figure rounded to the nearest ten), and there is nothing in them to connect one event to another.
